The End of Stake Wars & Exciting Future Ahead! 🌟

During our Community Call on January 10th, we wrapped up the final chapter of Stake Wars, ready to step into the next phase of our network. To cap off this event, Nazar, our co-founder, made a historic transaction that officially marked the end of it.

This occasion represents a celebration of the achievements and progress we’ve accomplished together. It has been a wonderful journey, and we’re grateful for everyone who has been apart of it alongside us.

Stake Wars represented more than just a staking competition; it showcases the strength, dedication, and ingenuity of our community. Through Nazar’s transaction, we’ve closed a chapter filled with valuable lessons, teamwork, and growth.

🔍 A Look Back on Stake Wars

Emil guided us through some of the highlights and provided a roundup of Stake Wars. With the community, we tested a crucial component of the Subspace Network: decoupled execution. This idea originated from the original white paper. It serves as a component in addressing the farmers’ dilemma, where farmers only confirm transaction availability and provide an ordering, while operator nodes execute the transactions and maintain the resulting chain state.

💡 Highlights and Achievements

Emil presented the numbers of what was achieved during this phase:

  • Over 90 operators registered within the first 5 hours of whitelist removal.
  • 536,000 TSSC staked by 320 operators.
  • Participation from 1,054 nominators, with 318,000 TSSC staked.
  • Incredible community engagement with over 3,000 messages in the nominators and operators channels in Discord.

🚀 What’s Next?

As we move forward, the network will continue running in an extended phase, allowing for further cooperation and experimentation. This presents a unique opportunity to refine our ecosystem, resolve any bugs or issues, and prepare for mainnet launch.

🙏 A Heartfelt Thank You

Reaching this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the community’s feedback. A special thank you to our operators .wezl, youneedme., xorinox, doucerlfdm, _reb0rn, jrwashburn, and farzadkb for creating a supportive environment, and to all participants who contributed to Stake Wars’ success. Your contributions play a key role to ensure the resilience of the Subspace Network.

🌐 Stay Engaged

The end of Stake Wars does not mark the end of our journey together. We invited the community to stay involved through our Galxe initiatives and other community engagement opportunities. There’s much more to come.

Subspace Ambassadors’ All Hands Meeting Highlights 🌟

In our most recent All Hands gathering, we explored the progress ambassador guilds have achieved and established a direction for an exciting future ahead.

📜 Governance Guild Insights:

Jonathan led the discussion on the progress of drafting bylaws, their legal review, and the push for more community involvement. With the bylaws now in their second revision, we introduced policies for ambassador promotion and demotion. The goal of this is to formalize agreements post-legal review, establish teams for conflict resolution, and a General Assembly oversight.

🌐 Engagement Guild Update:

Ivan Arenovich spotlighted his efforts to assemble ambassadors in content creation for Subspace Galxe Space. His team’s journey continues with educational campaigns and the introduction of mystery boxes to increase on-chain engagement. Plus, a new NFT collection awaits to honor engagement feats.

💡 Support & Engineering Guild Progress:

Anna highlighted the growth in community members and the efforts to streamline the Discord verification process. This was done to enhance our security and user experience.

🌱 Onboarding & Growth Guild Achievements:

We acknowledged Michael’s swift response to community feedback and contribution in the ongoing onboarding process of our latest cohort.

Gemini 3H Launch & Mini Space Race Begins! 🌌

As of January 31st, the date we held the Mini Space Race Launch Pad, our network has achieved the following milestones. It currently has 8,200 nodes and farmers globally and we’ve surpassed the 12.7 petabyte mark.

🚀 Introducing Gemini 3H: A Game-Changer:

Gemini 3H introduced several new feature implementations for the network. Ved reviewed what these new implementation were, including: enhanced staking protocols, bundle storage fees for operators, and cross-domain messaging. These updates will improve the network’s security and scalability.

🌟 Mini Space Race: Are You Ready?

In celebration of Gemini 3H’s launch, Jim kicked off the Mini Space Race, a new initiative designed to test our network’s capabilities and prepare us for mainnet launch. This will help ensure all of the new implementations are functioning properly prior to going live on mainnet.

🛠️ How to Migrate from 3G to 3H and What It Means for You:

For our farmers, operators, and developers, migrating from Gemini 3G to 3H brings several important changes and enhancements. Emil streamlined CLI arguments, introduced new commands, and updated our directory structures to ensure a seamless transition.

💡 Engage and Win with Our Community Contests:

To add to the excitement, Ryan rolled out four new contests with prizes up for grabs! From scavenger hunts to meme competitions, there’s something for everyone. Dive in, share your creativity, and become eligible to win!
